Andyho kráľovná na hrade Ľubovňa

Kráľovská edícia Andyho Warhola vytvorená v roku 1984 (40. výročie) prichádza na hrad v čase, keď si pripomíname 80. výročie od odchodu poslednej kráľovskej výsosti, infantky Izabely de Bourbon z hradu Ľubovňa (1944). Hoci najväčšie návštevy kráľovských výsostí sa udiali na hrade 20. storočí, hrad bol už od 14. storočia s kráľovskými rodmi, predovšetkým s kráľovnami úzko spojený. V roku 1392 bola na hrade uhorská kráľovná Mária I. z Anjou, ktorá sa pravdepodobne už tu stretla so svojou sestrou Hedvigou, poľským kráľom. Hrad sa v roku 1683 stal miestom, kde Ján III. Sobieski, pri návrate z víťaznej bitky o „záchranu Európy“ pri Viedni, napísal dva posledné listy svojej milovanej kráľovnej Marišenke. Králi a kráľovné sa dostali do dejín hradu Ľubovňa najmä v 20. storočí. Dokonca najmladšia dcéra Andreja Zamoyského, Mária Karolína, ktorej kráľovský sobáš sa konal v roku 1923 vo Vyšných Ružbachoch, sa v roku 1960 stala titulárnou Kráľovnou dvoch Sicílií. Kráľovné sú s hradom Ľubovňa späté a sme radi, že po toľkých rokoch môžeme opäť v hradných múroch privítať ich kráľovské výsosti.

Andy Warhol vytvoril sériu portrétov, v ktorých sa zaoberal ženami – vládkyňami, ktoré sa všeobecne zaraďujú k téme – portréty slávnych osobností. Okrem portfólia Holandská kráľovná Beatrix, vytvoril aj Swazilandskú kráľovnú Ntombi, kráľovnú Dánska Margareth II., ako aj Elizabeth II – kráľovnú Veľkej Británie. V našom záujme je centralizované kompletné portfólio Kráľovnej Ntombi, ktorého lukratívnosť reprezentuje najmä skutočnosť, že ide o tzv. „royal edition“  – kráľovskú edíciu –  a tá sa od ostatných Warholových diel líši tým, že kalafónové linky na všetkých štyroch obrazov sú posiate diamantovým prachom. Je to portfólio, ktoré je v hierarchii unikátnosti sieťotlačových diel na najvyššom stupni a tým, že je značené ako RAP ( royal artist proof ) a je iba z piatich kusov na svete, patrí k skutočným zberateľským unikátom. Ide samozrejme o kompletné portfólio, to znamená, že jeho súčasťou sú 4 obrazy tej istej kráľovnej, no stále v inej farebnej variácii, pričom za kompletné portfólio sa považuje kombinácia všetkých štyroch obrazov – ktoré tvoria jeden celok. Predkladané portfólio Kráľovnej Ntombi je  vytvorené technikou screentprint ( sieťotlač ), ktorú Andy Warhol používal takmer pri všetkých svojich dielach. Významnosť tejto kolekcie spočíva aj v tom, že diela sú vytvorené v nízkom náklade ( na svete ich je iba 5 v tejto sérii ), čo je skutočne nízky náklad, keďže typické pre Warhola bolo vytvoriť variácie diel v hlavných edíciách až do 250 kusov. Ďalším lukratívnym prvkom tohto portfólia je fakt, že v tomto prípade nejde o tému slávnych osobností z napríklad hudobnej či filmovej scény, ale predmetom Warholovhej inšpirácie je  kráľovná – vládkyňa – žena, ktorá je definitívne zapísaná v dejinách svojej krajiny ako tá, ktorá mala rozhodujúce slovo na všetky oblasti života. K výrazným argumentačným črtám je aj datovanie portfólia do roku 1984, čiže necelé tri roky pred Warholovou smrťou, keď sa definitívne skončil jeho celoživotný výtvarný koncept premeny portrétu. Dielo Kráľovnej Ntombi od Andyho Warhola je špecifické najmä svojou témou a výberom osobnosti a takisto aj tým, že v roku 1995 Ministerstvo pôšt a telekomunikácií Slovenskej republiky zaradilo vizuál tohto diela ako poštovú známku sedem korunovej hodnoty.

The queen edition from Andy Warhol created in the year 1984 (40^th anniversary) arrives to the castle in time, in which we are remembering the 80^th anniversary since the departure of the last royal highness, Infanta Isabela de Bourbon from the castle Ľubovňa (1944). Although the greatest visits of royal highnesses happened in the castle in the 1920´s, the castle was closely connected with royal houses, especially their queens. The Hungarian queen Mary I. of Anjou visited the castle in the year 1392 and probably met here with her sister Hedviga, the polish king. In the year 1683 the castle became a place, where John III. Sobieski, while returning from the victorious battle to „save Europe“ near Vienna, wrote last two letters to his beloved Queen Marišenka. Kings and Queens entered the history of the castle Ľubovňa mainly in the 20^th century. Even the youngest daughter of Andrew Zamoyski, Maria Carolina Zamoyska, whose royal wedding took place in 1923 in Vyšné Ružbachy, became the titular Queen of the Two Sicilies in 1960. Queens are connected with the Ľubovňa castle and we are glad that after so many years we can once again welcome their royal highnesses between the castle walls.

Andy Warhol created a series of portraits, in which he dealt with women – rulers, which are generally included to the topic – portraits of famous people. Except from the portfolio of the Queen of Netherlands Beatrix, he too made Queen of Swaziland Ntombi, Queen of Denmark Margareth II., as well as Elisabeth II – Queen of Great Britain. In our interest, a complete portfolio of the Queen Ntombi is centralized, whose lucrativeness is mainly represented by the fact that it is so called “royal edition” and it differs from Warhol´s other works by the rosin lines in all four paintings, which are sprinkled with diamond dust. It is a portfolio that is at the highest level in the hierarchy of the uniqueness of screen printing works and by being marked as RAP (royal artist proof) and there are only five of them in the world, it belongs to truly collectible unique items. This is of course a complete portfolio, which means it includes 4 images of the same queen, but always in a different colour variation, a complete portfolio is considered a combination of all four images – which form one unit. Submitted portfolio of Queen Ntombi is created using the screenprint technique, which Andy Warhol used almost in all of his works. The significance of this collection is also in low edition (there are only 5 in the world in this series), which is a really low edition, since it was typical for Warhol to create variation of works in the main edition of up to 250 pieces. Another lucrative element of this portfolio is the fact that in this case it is not a theme of famous personalities from, for example the music or film scene, but the subject of Warhol inspiration is the queen – the ruler – the woman, who is definitely written down in the history of her country as the one, who had the decisive word in all areas of life.

The dating of the portfolio to 1984 is also a significant argumentative feature, that is, less than three years before the Warhol´s death, when his lifelong artistic concept of transforming the portrait finally came to an end. The work of the Queen Ntombi from Andy Warhol is specific mainly by its theme and the choosing of the personality and also by the fact that the Ministry of post and telekomunication of Slovak republic in 1995 included the visual of this work as a postage stamp of the value of seven Slovak crowns.
